We believe that a healthy person makes a better employee, friend, spouse, and parent. And healthy people make healthy communities. The mission of CrossFit Renew is to utilize elite functional fitness and wellness training to restore communities to health.

We care about health and wellness in our community, and we want to help you toward that goal.

CrossFit Renew is for you, our community. We’re for anyone and everyone. From young professionals to retirees, stay-at-home parents to empty nesters, we provide fitness training aimed at restoring entire communities to health.

What Exactly is Crossfit?

CrossFit is the principle strength and conditioning program for police academies, tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and many other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

Our program delivers a fitness that is – by design – broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. This means the same routines can be used for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters before televised bouts. CrossFit Renew became an official CrossFit affiliate in August 2012, and we operate as a program of The For the City Network. Located just on 183 between I-35 and Mopac, our CrossFit box is a quick drive from any part of the city.

Our team now includes eight coaches and a community of over 100 members. We hope you’ll be the next one to join the team!

Meet the Staff

Miller
CF-L1

Becky didn’t have the traditional start of CrossFit like many people. At one point, Becky wanted to move overseas and decided that she would become a CrossFit coach as a means for income wherever she went. After joining a gym she found herself thinking, “I will never become a coach… this is too hard!” Even though she felt like a fool for the first three months, she stuck with it and saw “#gainz” in fitness and friendships. About a year after joining CrossFit, Becky got her L1 certification and has been coaching at Renew for over a year now. Becky’s favorite aspect of CrossFit is that no matter how good you are, there is always room for improvement and new goals to reach. This extends into her desire to help others develop their fitness as well as their mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Becky is a coffee snob and foodie, ex-rugby star, and works in child welfare to advocate for those who often go unheard.

 

Class Times: Tuesday/Thursdays 5:30am & 6:30am

Myles
Head Coach: CF-L1

After graduating from college, Brett was missing the competitive aspect of sports and working out. While working in a warehouse one summer, he was introduced to the CrossFit Games while he was packing boxes and filling shipping orders. After what he saw the athletes do in the Games, he decided he had to try it for himself. 5 years later he’s still here and doesn’t have any plans of going anywhere. He loves that no matter who you are and how long you’ve been doing CrossFit, it always challenges you and kicks your butt. Brett has been coaching with Renew for 2 years now. He is recently married and has even pulled his wife into this whole CrossFit thing. If you ever want to talk Oklahoma State sports (Go Pokes!) or OKC Thunder basketball, Brett’s your man.

Whitney was first introduced to CrossFit by her mom, who she claims could beat her in most WODs; she’s 100% right. Six years ago Whitney went to a CrossFit box in Portland, OR and has been hooked ever since. She loves that she can come into the box, and zone out for an hour. All she has to think about is the WOD that is written on the board. She loves having a coach that will push her and the community at CrossFit Renew is one that cannot be matched. Whitney has been coaching with Renew for 3 ½ years now and has worked as a resident to create community outreach programs through Renew. She will be the first to tell you how important rest is for a CrossFit athlete and would welcome the opportunity to tell you her story about how she learned that truth the hard way. Whitney loves the outdoors and can most likely be found hiking, swimming or running when she’s not in the box.

Russell started doing CrossFit in his backyard with his roommates, but they fully admit they had no idea what they were doing. He was introduced to CrossFit Renew as we were first opening and has been with us ever since. Shortly after joining he felt the strong urge to help other people with what he came to love and decided to get certified to coach. He has been coaching since 2012, and wouldn’t trade it for the world. No seriously, not for anything. He is married and is a new father and can often be caught talking to Chris Allman about the West Wing.
